It's the type of story that we ask....where to begin?

It was the fall of 2016 at Michigan State University, where the leaves were turning and two lives were about to intertwine in the most meaningful of ways. Chris and Sara met during those early college days, drawn to each other naturally during social gatherings—two individuals whose paths seemed destined to cross. What began as a casual friendship quickly deepened, their bond growing stronger with each shared laugh, late-night conversation, and group hangout.

By 2017, their connection was undeniable. Though unspoken, both felt the quiet current of something more—something deeper than friendship, something waiting patiently for the right moment. That moment arrived in February 2018 when Chris, unable to move forward without Sara as his girlfriend, made it official. From that day on, their story turned a new page, one written with love, growth, and unwavering companionship.

Together, they navigated the seasons of change. From late-night study sessions and football games to navigating the challenges of adulthood, Chris and Sara showed up for each other at every milestone, big and small. Their relationship matured right alongside them, evolving from college life into a deep and resilient partnership.

In the spring of 2020, life brought unexpected challenges. Chris was working in Howell, Michigan, while Sara graduated from MSU during the height of a global pandemic. With the world in disarray and no clear roadmap ahead, Chris did the only thing that felt right—he opened his apartment to Sara. That summer, they faced the unknown hand in hand, learning how to be post-grads in a world that had turned upside down. Together, they built a foundation of strength, support, and adaptability.

Sara’s career soon took her to Chicago, and after a year of long distance working opposite hours, fate would have it that Chris joined her. The Windy City became their playground. They embraced the vibrant energy of urban life, surrounded by close friends and driven by careers that inspired them. As young professionals, they not only found success but also grew into the people they were always meant to be—side by side.

But as time passed, the rhythm of city life began to wear thin. Both felt the stirrings of adventure and the desire for something new—a space where they could explore new hobbies, immerse themselves in nature, and take another bold leap together. So in the summer of 2023, they packed up their lives and moved across the country to Denver, Colorado.

Denver offered a new chapter filled with mountains, fresh air, and the kind of personal discovery only change can bring. For a year and a half, Chris and Sara soaked in every moment—climbing new heights, making new friends, finding joy in both the quiet and the chaos of everyday life.

Then, one day—after all the years of growing, learning, and loving—Chris got down on one knee and asked Sara the question he had been building toward since that February day in 2018: to spend the rest of their lives together.

Their journey isn’t just a timeline of major events. It’s in the little moments—every shared coffee, every spontaneous road trip, every late-night pep talk, every laugh after a long day. It’s in the way they chose each other again and again, no matter the season or city.
